J	John John on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Μετά το χωριό Δράπανος, στο δρόμο για το ναυτικο φυλάκιο, μια στενή λωρίδα πρόσβασης στον όρμο του Ομπρογιαλου, το Γορδέλι... Γνήσιο "κρητικό" τοπίο, αποτομοι βράχοι που καταλήγουν σε πράσινα νερά, αγριοκατσικα στέκουν σε απόκρημνα σημεια, εδώ κ εκει λίγες χαρουπιές, τοπος γεμάτος θυμαρι και ασπαλαθους. Στο τέρμα του χαρακιού, μετά απο ενα χιλιόμετρο αγροτικού δρόμου, τρια-τεσσερα σπιτάκια και ένα ταβερνάκι κατω απο τον παχυ ισκιο της χαρουπιας. Μικρη παραλια με ευκολη προσβαση για τα παιδια, μικρη τσιμεντενια προβλητα, σπηλιαράκι για φυσικό ίσκιο και ορμισκος για μπανιο παντος καιρου. Μετά τη βουτιά η κυρία Καίτη μαγειρεύει για την οικογένειά της και οποιον περαστικό θελήσει να μπει στο ταβερνάκι της κρητικά εδέσματα και της ώρας, τα περισσότερα δικης της παραγωγής. Δοκιμάστε αν εχει οπωσδήποτε κατσικακι τσιγαριαστό, γεμιστά (τέλειοι "φυλλένιοι", όπως αποκαλεί τους ντολμάδες με αμπελόφυλλα) και μουσακά ή παστίτσιο με μπεσαμελ απο γαλα κατσικίσιο (φοβερο!!!). Για τους φυσιολάτρες το ιδανικο μέρος να ησυχάσουν μακριά απο τις πολυβουες χανιωτικες παραλιες, για τους λατρεις της κρητικης κουζινας ενα ακατεργαστο διαμαντι κυριολεκτικα στη μεση του πουθενα..!! After the village of Drapanos, on the way to the naval outpost, a narrow lane of access to the bay of Obrogialos, Gordeli ... A genuine "Cretan" landscape, cliffs ending in green waters, ibex stand in steep places, here and there a few locusts, a place full of thyme and asparagus. At the end of the ridge, after a kilometer of rural road, three or four houses and a tavern under the thick shade of the carob tree. Small beach with easy access for children, small concrete pier, cave for natural shade and cove for bathing all weather. After the dive, Mrs. Katie cooks for her family and any passerby who wants to enter her tavern Cretan delicacies and the hour, most of her own production. Try it if it definitely has a smoked goat, stuffed (perfect "leafy", as it calls dolmades with vine leaves) and moussaka or pastitsio with béchamel of goat's milk (awesome !!!). For nature lovers the ideal place to relax away from the bustling beaches of Chania, for lovers of Cretan cuisine a raw diamond literally in the middle of nowhere .. !!

Chiar si asa, este superb pentru snorkeling, fiind una dintre cele mai frumoase locuri, prinse si in traseul excursiilor organizate! Renovated location! The road to the tavern, when you get off the main road, difficult; it is very narrow and steep and requires off-road vehicle. Even so, it is superb for snorkeling, being one of the most beautiful places, caught in the route of organized excursions!

Wir ließen lieber unser Auto oben stehen und gingen zu Fuß. Dort wurde uns gesagt: Das Restaurant habe schon drei Jahre geschlossen.

M	Mike A on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Also known as "Taverna Gordeli". We stayed in a holiday rental property next door and ate here several times. The atmosphere is very laid back and friendly and even though not much English is spoken it's enough to work. The food here is excellent and is almost exclusively locally sourced. The Taverna hunt/make/gather 99% of the food on offer from the surrounding hillsides. They told us that the only thing not produced in house was pasta. There are no menus but you can choose from five or so dishes that are on offer at the time. The track down to the Taverna from the road is quite interesting. The locals manage fine in normal cars but I was glad of our rental 4x4. It's concreted but quite rough, steep and with no barriers. The opening hours will vary as the Taverna has no electricity so will close at dusk. There is a small, rocky cove below with excellent swimming and snorkeling, but not really a sandy beach as mentioned in another review. Recommended.
