Taverna Limani - Notio Kritiko Pelagos

We ordered chicken on grill but it was so dried that it was a challenge to eat it. For such dish it is necessary to serve sauce. The fish was ok but nothing special. The portions are big but the cooking wants to be better and tastier. There are better restaurants in Loutro

We were tempted by the grill here at lunchtime and our meal was so good, we came back for dinner a couple of nights later. They do wonderful fresh grilled fish, souvlaki etc. and the star was the mixed grill - a vast plate of succulent lamb, chicken and pork. Made my husband very happy indeed. The local white wine was very nice and the people here are lovely too. A word on expectations - I notice that a lot of the negative reviews here are for the "fish for two" meal deal. We found that a large fish for one is a pretty consistent 15-18 euros across Crete (summer 2021). So to get a large fish plus sides for two, for 15-16 euros (depending on what fish you choose) is pretty good and in line with local pricing, but that's going to be a light lunch for two, no more. It's not realistic to expect more for the price, and not really fair to give such negative reviews on that basis IMO. We'd highly recommend Limani. Given how polarised the reviews are, in our experience the positive reviews give a far more accurate reflection of the restaurant than the negative.

We had the gyros pita for 2 with Greek salad and beer. Service was fast, food delicious and front row seats on the ocean.

Fabulous. The best lamb ive had ever... What makes you stop at one place rather than another? Plenty of other options but im so glad we chose the limani no complaints at all service was spot on very friendly owner popy & her fantastic chef husband nico the beds were comfy & a lovely balcony if you want to relax in a traditional setting come to limani if you want fish& chips or Mcdonalds stay at home

Absolutely the worst food we've ever had! My only positive comment was that the goat was very moist and tasty but... chicken so dry and tasteless we fed the cats with it. Wine mediocre...french fries tasted like the freezer. The 'dessert' on the house was like saw dust. Worst of all you can tell the staff knows all of this already. Trust me you don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. NO! Just NO!

Amazing food and great company, Nikos and his wife are brilliant! Lamb and Pork on the spit is amazing and the fresh fish falls off the bone. Would highly recommend this place for an authentic meal! And a great smile!!!

The worse meal we ever had. We ordered the mix grill for 29€ that comes with a salad. Salad was not fresh the feta tasteless. The meat was a lump of fat, barely anything edible. And definitely quantity not enough for two. The waitress was rude, the owner loud and unpleasant. Said we can only pay cash, But when we told the unfriendly waitress that it’s illegal not to accept payment by credit card, a card reader appeared in the back. Water was the best part of the meal. LOUSY RIPOFF.
