Theophano Art Hotel - Chrysafitissa square

Great location, elegant and classy. The owner is a true character, an aristocratic lady to remember forever.

Cozy and comfortable place, though we were the only guests in these stormy March days. Great view, good internet connection, very good location.

Small room, they urged us not to use the ac and the hot water,the breakfast was extremely poor....they did not issue a receipt , we had to ask for a receipt to get one and the answer was ,yes we are going to issue a receipt but you don't need it... However the location of the hotel was amazing and the lobby was nice. I f i visit again Monemvasia i will not stay there.

Very beautiful building and our room had an amazing view. It was not value for money, however Monemvasia is quite expensive and we visited the place during August thus full season. The hostess was super polite and friendly. I will totally visit it again another time.

Absolutely excellent! We stayed in the Theofano Art Hotel for two nights, and we wish we had planned to stay more. The hotel is lovely, and the owners made their best to make us feel like we were their guests and not customers. They were more than happy to help with directions and suggestions, they even gave us a map with handwritten notes! The breakfast is a must-have, fresh, delicious, everything homemade. The room was very comfy, the bed great, everything super clean and tidy. The location is also great, just 3 minutes from the main road and very close to the sea, the rooms are charming, the little balcony just what we needed and the terrace absolutely stunning. We had the most amazing view of the sunrise and the rise of the full moon, from the middle of the sea. We will definitely come back to Theofano hotel the next time we're staying in Monemvasia.

We had a great time! The experience -from the first contact about the booking to the moment we checked out- was perfect. Location is hands down the best in the castle area, the room as it is depicted in the photos - just as needed to get the Monemvasia vibes. We loved the balcony giving us view both to the seafront and to the alleys. The hospitality was memorable. Totally recommended! We re not gonna search for another hotel next time we return to Monemvasia.

Very cute but we expected much more. The room was authentic and cosy. However, extremely small. I didn’t even have place where to put my clothes or suitcase. In the bathroom, they made sure to leave some nice toiletries- but i was quite surprised to see they were half used. At a time of Covid protocols, this was especially upsetting as it shows lack of proper cleaning of the room. Balcony view was gorgeous and worth the visit by itself. Another disappointment was the breakfast. Given that me an my husband are on a special health diet, we asked in front what the breakfast will be, since we cannot consume sugars and carbohydrates. Despite persisting to find out, they would not tell us, saying it is a homemade surprise. While everything did look very tasty and homemade when we saw the breakfast- we could not eat almost any of it because it was mainly carbs and sugars. The only thing we could eat were the eggs, but we were only allowed to take one small piece of the eggs, as the owner explained that they make limited quantities and each guest can only have one small piece. So this had a very bad effect over our whole experience, given that we were looking forward to a nice romantic breakfast in the authentic environment. Overall, due to the beautiful balcony view, and being able to stay in the castle itself- we liked it. But next time, i would stay in a different hotel.

A faultless stay in a unique and beautiful part of Greece! We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend and were lucky enough to have the big room at the front looking straight out at the water. Fantastic and friendly hosts, lovely breakfast and well furnished rooms.... highly recommended!
