S	Sara Sluss on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed two nights the end of October. Monemvasia was not too crowded as it was approaching the end of season. Hotel rooms were convenient though our friends were placed in a different building. Breakfast was in a restaurant downstairs from our room. I was at first concerned that there might be noise from the restaurant, but there was very little...some late evening conversation was all. The breakfasts were lovely! We were given very good advice by hotel staff on what/when/how to visit the various sites and for restaurants (esp. Voltes! not to be missed). The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

The pretty reception area served as a beautiful backdrop, with flowers and a stone archway, for several family photos that the friendly staff members cheerfully snapped for us. The front door to our room was up a quaint narrow staircase. The spotlessly clean and spacious room greeted us with stone floors and exposed beams. The room consisted of two double-bed areas partially separated by a bathroom. One of the bed areas had windows like paintings from a fairy tale with views over clay-tiled roofs to a picturesque church bell tower and the blue sea. Stunned as we already were, we then stumbled upon our porch, which abutted an impossibly cute and quaint tiny little church. Its whitewashed main body, contrasting perfectly with its brick end wall and the greenery and flowers cascading over the edge of our adjacent clay-tile topped stone wall, created a romantic painter's dream. This place is unbelievable. Neither my words nor my photos do it justice. All of this, and breakfast, for 160 euro per night.

It could be more clean, and the sewer smells really bad, but I guess it is a problem of the plumbing system of the city. The real deal breaker is that a nail was protruding from the side of the bed and hurt badly my son’s knee. Totally unacceptable in any hotel room especially at that price range.
T	T Hanegraaf on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel is great. The service redefined the meaning of hospitality. The room was absolutely gorgeous and it made me feel like emperor Justinius himself. The breakfast was an absolute feast and i don't regret gaining the extra kilos. Last but not least is location. I couldn't fathom a historic sanctuary like this. Everything is like it was back in medieval days. I got a tour from one of the actual archaeologist that excavated the epic site you can find on top of the mountain. I'm afraid i can never enjoy any other destination ever. 5/5

Ä	Ändi S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good options to spend one or two nights in Monemvasia. Clean and big room. Though a little bit dark due to the narrow streets and the ground floor location. The bathroom could needs some renovation. Big and fresh breakfast buffet is served outside, but occupied by many intrusive cats. Staff didn’t care when the climbed the tables and eat the leftovers.
