J'aimerais y revenir.
We really appreciated the kindness of the staff, they are all incredibly friendly which really makes you happy. The hotel is not very big and that too we appreciated. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Our room had a terrace overlooking the olive trees in the garden and the beautiful swimming pool lit at night. Bright room with kitchenette (the refrigerator was very useful to us) simple and sober white decor, large Italian marble shower. The large bed is really comfortable. Another appreciable point: the very generous and delicious breakfast served on the flowered terrace. We had dinner at the Grecotel Creta Palace (about 2km away), under the palm trees of a magnificent patio. Buffets with very good Greek specialties and lovely staff there too. The Creta Palace is a luxurious hotel where we could have enjoyed the pool and sunbathing on the beach but there are so many beautiful places to see in Crete ... I would love to come back.

Great service, great personnel, very human and sweet. Only minus point is the road noise but nothing alarming.

Very nice hotel with AMAZING employees - always keen to provide any help and smile. The only drawback is that we need to go to another hotel for the beach and the diner (Creta palace) but sincerely it’s no big deal. It s a small hotel, with very nice swimming pool and very cool rooms.

Pros: The ability to access the sister hotel facilities and restaurants at the Grecotel Crete Palace made our stay (though I prefer the pool at Villa Oliva which was new and less busy). The breakfast provided was also great though it would be helpful to provide what options are available in the form of a menu as I found that I was ordering food based on observing other people around me. We also appreciated the effort made to greet us when we arrived including the fruit bowl, decorated crib and the drinks/sweets on arrival. Cons: It is obvious from our stay that the villa is still in its infancy particularly as the previous hotel that we stayed at before arriving was excellent for travelling with a baby (and the hotel was a similar size and price range). - The pool which was lovely had a very shallow end (0.6m) which is suitable for babies yet it is obvious that isn’t the target market for the villa. If it was than I would’ve expected them to mow the grass area near the lawn so babies can walk/crawl as in its current state there were too many bees/wasps. This was one of the reasons why I booked this villa. - The location isn’t the best as the motorway is behind the pool but they did their best in disguising the noise with music. - From the pictures, the rooms looked modern and whilst this can be said about our bathroom, the rest of the space looked dated. It was great you had access to a microwave though and you could see parts of the ocean from our room as well as the main road. - whilst the staff were very friendly, there were delays in their response to my emails before arriving at the villa and during our stay. For example, we found that the ad displayed in reception for a 15% discount at Grecotel Crete palace wasn’t actually valid when we enquired at the palace. I also emailed the reservations team about it and I still haven’t heard a response. Also, there were multiple times we had to chase the staff during our stay for specific food for my baby to eat. - they should include fruit based drinks eg smoothies on the day menu.

We had an extraordinary time at Villa Oliva. What a layed back atmosphere with a super friendly staff. Each of them was off the charts to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast on the terrace was great. Very child-friendly. It felt more like family than a staff-guest relation. The hotel is small and it is just right this way. The pool was perfect. From 60 cm to 150cm depth. Little downside is, that there are roads on both sides with audible car noise. But at the pool in the nice garden it‘s nonetheless very relaxing. We booked half board. The dinner is served at the 5* partner hotel Creta Palace which is 5 car minutes away. The buffet was great with a lot of variety. Nearby beach is okay but a bit stony. The water was great. Rental car is recommended to visit other parts of the island.

Not open beware. We booked on bookings.com after literally a night and a days research on places to stay in Crete and as it was on the telegraph list. On landing in Crete, ready to head there, we got an email saying it was closed and we were reallocated to another hotel. No obvious option of a refund. I don’t know if we could have even found another option we wanted. Checking now it remains on booking.com as available knowing they are unable to fulfill bookings. We are now in a hotel: Not on the telegraph list With a pool with limited sun beds A pool facing the main road A hotel with the title family accommodation when we have no kids Not near our friends who are staying near villa Olivia Not with the green gardens And I could go on… Rooms should no be listed until they actually exist!!!!!
