★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the trailhead of the most common path to the peak of Vrisinas Mount that starts at Roussospiti village (northern side of the mountain). It is a 6 km easy uphill hike, initially on a road, then on a dirt road and finally on a path. The views to Rethymno and the northern coast from the peak are magnificent. At the summit (858m) the Christian chapel of Holy Spirit is situated at the place of an ancient Minoan peak sanctuary.
