3/5 Outdoor Hot Tub, Honeymoon Suite Beautiful hotel and rooms, however our experience was not what we expected as the reviews are great. Our reason for holiday was our honeymoon, we went low season to enjoy the island more without the extreme hustle and bustle. Upon arrival, we did expect something to congratulate our reason for staying, other boutique hotels provided champagne and really made us feel special. Most reviews say they received something, not sure if it’s because they spent more money, if so, that’s not a great feeling. Sadly, we didn’t feel this at all. There was no special welcome for us, and there were many other things that kept creeping up that weren’t good. Firstly, it’s as simple as not providing a bar of soap in our room, the cleaning was so inconsistent and we were asked too many times to leave so they can clean. The toilet was running for days, to the point where it disrupted our sleep. It was literally a running fountain feature in our room. We did mention this to the reception, they are very quick to act, however rather than find a solution, it was more this is how you do it, not like this. A toilet is universal, and so is pressing the button, therefore a solution should’ve been had straight away. Our next issue was the hot tub, which turned a pond green, this was not what we wanted on a day we were hoping to use it. Once again reception was contacted, very quick to act but then we were told it could have been us using oils and sunscreens. Our hot tub was not in the sun, therefore no lotions were necessary. In fact that reason was not enough. The hot tub was not caused by us. And we didn’t like the constant blame, or rather proud reasoning. The suite was beautiful, we stayed in the honeymoon suite with outdoor hot tub. The room does need a few changes. One in particular being the bed, the worst bed I’ve ever slept in, and to make it worse they only use a flat sheet, which is gross. A fitted sheet is necessary, especially for the price you pay to stay. The amount of germs would’ve been gross! That needs serious changes. Hygiene was disgusting in regards to that. It is the caldera view, therefore expect to be in close proximity to other guests, which was not bothersome to us. I think people need to take reviews with a grain of salt.

The most magical place! See the sunset from your own private balcony overlooking at the caldera, have breakfast there every morning. The staff is super awesome, very friendly and helpful. Room is very comfortable, great bed, great shower. Very romantic place.

We loved our stay here. The staff was tremendous prior to arrival and all the way through our stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. You can’t beat the views, but note there is a point where you lose the sunset, but it’s almost down by then. We loved it. There are some stairs to get to the hotel, but they only encourage you to stay on your balcony! There are many good restaurants around and a couple of grocery stores.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Cocoon Suites and had the most amazing time! The concierges were very professional, helpful, and kind. Anything we needed, we called them for help. For example, they made reservations at a winery for us so we didn't have to. In addition, their recommendations for places to eat and visit were wonderful (especially Santo winery). If you stay here, make sure you have them schedule a catamaran trip for you (do the sunset option) because it was incredible! We had so much fun on the catamaran (jumping off to swim, eating delicious food on board) mixed in with some romantic moments during sunset. In addition to the great recommendations, the suites were extremely clean and comfortable. Our private hottub and room was cleaned every day, and all of the staff were so nice. One of my favorite parts of staying at Cocoon was the breakfast every morning. It was delicious and felt so special as we ate on our balcony looking over the caldera. Lastly, we were amazed at how quiet it was and how private it felt. When we would venture out to other parts of Santorini, we were surprised at how many people there were because of how tucked away we felt at Cocoon Suites. Overall, we loved our stay here and highly recommend it - especially for honeymooners!

Excellent views, beautiful rooms and very hospitable staff. We had a junior suite with our own plunge pool and it was great, the water was warm and it was great to spend a lazy day in the pool in the sun looking at the Aegean Sea with views to the volcano. Sunsets are gorgeous too. Some nice restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. Breakfast served on our balcony was stunning. Highly recommend

Me and my fiancée stayed at the Cocoon for 3 nights, 1 night in the Honeymoon Suite and 2 nights in the Grand Honeymoon Suite. Basically we were only moderately satisfied with the hotel, the attention to detail was missing, especially in this price category that should be given! The way to the hotel passes many ruins and unfinished construction sites and does not look very well-groomed. When we arrived, the hotel, it didn't look neat at first sight! In our opinion not comparable with the pictures on the internet. The edges of the pools were totally yellow, the paint is peeling off the parasols, the parasols themselves have also been sewn many times and no longer looked good (the owner should invest some money again, the hotel need to be sarnished asap). We spend the first night in the Honeymoon Suite and we have to admit that we were totally disappointed with the small 38 m² (felt like 25m² - very cramped) room and our "private pool" in the common area. Unfortunately, our pool was also completely yellow at the edge and apart from the view we didn't feel well. We were also told that we were allowed to use a chill lounge that was shaded with bamboo, but unfortunately the bamboo was fastened with plastic cable ties from the hardware store (here, too, we expect an aesthetic solution from a hotel in this price range). We liked the breakfast very much and the staff, from Nana to the cleaning lady were all very courteous and nice! Also the dinner was amazing and does not allow any criticism! When we moved to the Grand Honeymoon Suite after the first night, we were blown away. The suite was gigantic and totally impressive, the pool with a very large terrace and with a lot of privacy and there was nothing to see of yellow spots on the edge of the pool. But here, too, we missed a few small details (towels smelled of kitchen and the handle of the refrigerator always went off on one side when opening because of a missing screw) THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN IN A SUITE OVER 1000€ / NICHT!!!!! Hotel in the caldera is all well and good but we also have to admit that we had better hotels on Santorini (they weren't on the caldera) but were also four times cheaper than the Grand Honeymoon Suite (with private pools and 80m² rooms).
