Daphne’s, conveniently situated in historic Plaka, and in close proximity to the Acropolis, is the meeting place of two worlds; Pompei, a Greek city of the remote antiquity, on one hand, and on the other, the typical Athenian courtyard, with more than one thousand years history, still evident all around it. In fact it is the exact spot where Lord Byron drew inspiration, during his stay at the adjacent Capuccine monastery.

Both of our lamb based dishes were great and the grilled hard cheese was fantastic. The outside atmosphere was nice and we had a good view of Acropolis lit up by lights at night. We'd definitely come back here again.

The Baked Lamb is also extremely tender and delicious, I recommend it. The view from the main sitting area in the front has a view of the acropolis and when we were there, there was a light breeze so it was very lovely. The service is very quick when refilling drinks and when bringing out food, they’re very kind. It’s very homey and their prices are very good for the quality of food you’re getting.

We ordered a bottle of wine and we did not liked it and they gladly suggested another one, which was great. I had the grilled salmon and it was delicious, too. Overall, both the service and the food was really good!
