My family join me to recommand highly this hotel even if we haven't had the chance to come as Volotea cancelled our flight 3 weeks before departure (we do not recommand Volotea by the way what a shameful company!) . Fortunately Theresa from Marelen had been very understanding and professional with us by phone and mail. We had quick answers and we got refund without any problem even if it was not refundable in our case. But as it was not our fault, I guess, as they are human they decided to give us our money back. I'm sure you will be well treated and the place looks so great!Theresa, thank you so much again we really hope to meet you and I wish you the best for this season! So sad not to be there! See you soon!

The entire team at the hotel were cheerful, smiling and helpful. They all seemed to be fully invested in delivering good service no matter what their role. The rooms were clean, airy a reasonable size, with compact shower rooms. Good morning buffet breakfast and very reasonable and great value evening buffet. Plenty of choice from any of the 7 themed nights. Lovely late night bar called Eden (situated in the garden of course!) Run by Nikos. Way too many staff to mention all by name but Denia, Irene, Sevi, Kostas Alexandra and Leti always on hand to help. It's was my first time in zakynthos and first time on a Greek island since 1988, but based on this experience, I will definitely be back..... Either early June or September, to take advantage of the wonderful weather!

Stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with half board option. The restaurant and caretaking staff get a 5-star and were the highlight of our stay. Good buffet spread. The staff remembered our food preferences/restrictions during the stay and helped us pick the right items every meal - that was very nice. The lady at the dessert side insisted in serving our kids who were really fond of her - I noticed she was the same way with other kids too. It was nice to see the hands on approach by the staff. The issue we had is with the suite - the bathroom was designed in the most awkward way possible - the clothes hanger was low next to the toilet with other option to hang your clothes. When you open the washroom door it would leave no room for you to get in/out. A minor observation is with the restaurant where they charge you for water. Not a big deal but we thought that was rather odd.

Love this place plenty of choice for breakfast lovely rooms three pools one adult only . 5 minutes walk to the beach. Lovely family run business. Clean well kept gardens. Been five times so far .

After 3 days of being guests at Marelen H. in Kalamaki, I can only, as you can see above, fill every category of appreciation with 5 stars...!!!! Pay attention to the excellent food prepared in the hotel restaurant : you can very easy gain at last 2-3 kg. until your home return...!!! ???!!! I'll tell you more after spending the rest of my holiday....!!! Beach is only 3' walking...! The sea is wonderful !

Although I gave this hotel a 4 star rating is by no means a criticism of the hotel in any way. I always find that no matter how good it is there is always room for improvement. The facilities of this hotel are second to none and the grounds are kept immaculate. The staff are all brilliant and the swimming pools are great. The food was lovely and the selection was amazing. The rooms are kept very clean and are tended to every day. The only thing that wasn't to my liking was the English breakfast. But I remedied that with eating at a different place when I wanted one. I would totally recommend the Marelen to anyone. Great place to stay.

Clean and just renovated, medium sized, but very friendly and beautiful hotel. Food is very good, we're vegetarian and have enough options for breakfast and dinner. Both management and staff reminded us that we can ask for custom made vegetarian options if we want to. Rooms are a bit noisy in the evening. Kids pool is great for our 4 year old, main pool is great as well. Beach is a 5 minute walk. Main street with shops and restaurants is a 10min walk. People are friendly, nice nature, birds, cats, lizards and turtles of course. We'll most likely return here. Very enjoyable indeed.

A lovely place to spend your holiday with family or friends. By Marelen you can find a lot of things to do. There is a adult only area with a pool, a big pool for everyone in the middle, a jacuzzi and a pool just for the kids. If you are thirsty you can have drinks during the day or cocktails at night at the two lovely pool bars. The food is very good and the staff and service are friendly and competent. The rooms are clean and comfortable. If you want you can walk to the beach and have a great day at the sea. The water is warm and clear and along the beach you can see a lot of turtle nests. We had a great time here ?
