★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Με αποζημιωσε οταν εφτασα στην κορυφη ηταν πολυ μυστηριακο κ εβγαζε ενεργεια εντυπωση οι τοιχογραφιες της μονης οι παλιες εικονες του αγ γεωργιου κ του αγ δημητριου που φανταζουν σαν φρουροι της ιερας μονης κ προπαντων η μοναδικη εικονα του αγ γεωργιου χωρις το αλογο αλλα πεζος δεν πρεπει να υπαρχει αλλη εικονα χωρις να ειναι καβαλλαρης

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eines der schönsten orthodoxen Klöster von Skyros. Warum man aber nur ein einziges Foto in der Kirche machen darf versteht wohl nur der grimmige Aufseher. Aber der Ausblick allein ist den Aufstieg wert.
One of the most beautiful Orthodox monasteries in Skyros. But why you are only allowed to take one photo in the church can only be understood by the grim overseer. But the view alone is worth the climb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Στο ψηλότερο σημείο της πόλης της Σκύρου βρίσκεται τι παλιό κάστρο και το Μοναστήρι του Αγ. Γεωργιου. Υπάρχει κι τα παργιγκ αλλά και πάλι θα πρέπει να περπατήσεις αρκετά για να φτάσεις.. Η θέα υπέροχη. Βλέπεις έναν φιλικό πάτερ ο οποίος σε ξεναγεί στο μοναστήρι. Αργότερα κάνεις και μια βόλτα στο παλιό κάστρο το οποίο έχει συντηρηθεί και έχουν κάνει επεμβάσεις τα τελευταία χρονια.. Ολα ειναι δωρεαν
At the highest point of the city of Skyros is the old castle and the Monastery of Ag. Georgiou. There are also parks but you still have to walk long enough to reach .. The view is wonderful. You see a friendly father who guides you to the monastery. Later you take a walk in the old castle which has been preserved and operations have been done in recent years .. Everything is free

The climb is a bit difficult if you have children but the landscape rewards you !!!

Incredible view and point that creates a sense of contact with God. Monastery is a monument to the Holy Monastery of the Great Lavra of Mount Athos.
