Leider kamen wir noch nicht einmal bis zum Parkplatz, da wir auf der Zufahrtstraße während der Fahrt von zwei wilden Hunden attakiert wurden. Selbst zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt haben die Hunde noch auf uns "gewartet", um uns anzufallen. Wir mussten unsere Reise kurz vor der Ankunft am Kloster abbrechen. Daher kann man nur davor warnen, das Kloster mit einem anderen Verkehrsmittel als mit einem Auto oder Bus zu besuchen! Es wäre Aufgabe der Gemeinde und der Klosterverwaltung, dafür zu sorgen, dass Besucher unversehrt anreisen können. We wanted to visit the Preveli Monastery and we drove together on a scooter. Unfortunately we didn't even get to the parking lot because two wild dogs attacked us on the access road. Even at a later date, the dogs "waited" for us to attack us. We had to cancel our trip shortly before arriving at the monastery. Therefore, one can only warn against visiting the monastery using a means of transport other than a car or bus! It would be up to the municipality and the monastery administration to ensure that visitors can arrive safely.

Уникальное место, уникальные монахи. Кипарисы, сосны, оливы.. виноградники, тишина, жизнь просто застыла здесь. Имел честь смотреть, как собирают оливки монахи. Вообще, жизнь здесь, а я провел на о. Крит 15 лет, манит, тянет.. Здесь есть одна особенность.. При всех моментах старых городов мира, здесь практически нет цивилизации в общепринятом смысле. Древние методы возделывания почвы, культур, олив.. , выпекания хлеба, производство сыров, вин.. Кстати, монахи делают исключительные овечьи сыры и масло и вина..Можно просто забыть многое, когда пробуешь на вкус сии продукты. Общение с ними дает многое в понимании жизни, взглядах на настоящее, ибо оно формирует прошлое, какие и странно всем это читать. Завтра настоящее уже прошлое.. стоит задуматься..
