K	Kyriaki Roumpi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ξεκινάς και θαυμάζεις τη θέα από ψηλά και όσο πλησιάζεις επιβεβαιώνεσαι. Το Φοινικόδασος αριστερά και δεξιά απ το ποτάμι κάνει το τοπίο να ξεχωρίζει. Μπορείς να κάνεις μπάνιο και στο ποτάμι και στην πεντακάθαρη θάλασσα και επίσης λειτουργεί και μία μικρή ταβέρνα για την περίπτωση που διψάσεις και πεινάσεις. Η πρόσβαση δεν ειναι τόσο εύκολη (πολλά σκαλιά) αλλά αξίζει κάθε ταλαιπωρία. You start and admire the view from above and as you get closer you are confirmed. The Finikodasos to the left and right of the river makes the landscape stand out. You can swim in both the river and the crystal clear sea and there is also a small tavern in case you are thirsty and hungry. Access is not so easy (many steps) but it is worth every effort.

Εμπειρία που θα σας μείνει αξέχαστη και θα το ξαναεπισκεφτητε κάποια στιγμή. Και το χειμώνα μπορείτε να πάτε αλλά το καλοκαίρι θα είναι αξέχαστο και ανεπανάληπτο. Δεν χρειάζονται πολλά πράγματα μαζί σάς, ενδυκνειτα σκηνή αλλά όχι και απαραίτητα. Fantastic place, worth visiting either alone or with friends and overnight. Αξίζει μια επίσκεψη για να το διαπιστώσετε ιδίοις όμαση. There are no words to describe the environment. Quiet, religiously enchanting monastery with a very long history. It is worth a visit to find out for yourself.

The palm forest of Preveli and the river were our best experience on our trip to Crete. Exotic landscape, the walk on the path is awesome!

It is a high place of resistance against the Ottomans in the 19th century and during the 2nd World War as well The road to get there offers beautiful views of the southern coast of Crete (Sea of Libya)

The ticket is 3 euros and although the religious stuff is irrelevant for me, I found the nature and the buildings really pretty, and the information in the area and small museum interesting. You will spend 15 - 30 minutes for your visit and there is a snack bar / cafe by the entrance, as well as plenty of parking space.
