Rethymno Residence Hotel & Suites - Adelianos Kampos

We had booked Junior Suite room with private pool. The room smelled by mold. Room was not properly cleaned, we found some food under the bed after previous visitors. On upholstered head of bed were dirty stains. Mildew/mold stains were on lamp shade. Mildew was on the window curtains. At least curtain was replaced after our complaints and floor was cleaned again. Air-conditioner stinks terribly when is turn on. The hygiene is basic requirement if you want to feel comfortable. So it was was shock get room like this in 4 -stars hotel. There was no kettle and no cups in room. Hotel does not provide little (take-away) meal/some refreshment in case you are going on whole day trip and you will miss breakfast, lunch etc... It doesn't matter that you have all inclusive. Poor choice of meal in Snack Bar and very low quality. Meal does not look and even does not taste good. Especially the burgers. There is no toothbrush cup in the bathroom. Hygiene items were missing (no shampoo, no shower gel..). There was only a little hand soap. There is no twine/ cord on the terrace where you could hang wet clothes... The hotel produces a large amount of plastic - all food from the snack bar and drinks from the Liquide bar are served in plastic.But there is a shortage of trash bins in hotel area. Trash bins should be cleaned more often, or more baskets need to be added. We have already visited many hotels (4-stars and also 3-stars) but this was a big disappointment. Because of very low level of hygiene, offered service and equipment condition I rate this hotel as 2-stars, not 4-stars. Maybe the level of hotel was higher in previous years, but in 2020 it is different story!

Hi, I will start with pros. So Good located hotel, in nice area not to far from the sea. Food was very good. Rooms in Royal part nice but not the best. We had own swimming pool which was nice. Another swimming pools are also very nice. Service really nice. Why 3 stars? "All inclusive" means that drinks are made from local whiskey etc. not the best. Additianally "All inclusive" ends at 22:45 while bat is open till midnight. This is crazy. At the beginning we heard that there are many different restaurants like Italian, american and you can order a'la carte etc. nothing like that is there... and coffee is terrible, instant, really bad. Last but not least early breakfast. Normal breakfast starts at 8:00 which is ok. But when you go earlier for trip or to airport you can go for early breakfast. This means bread, something like a butter (but no butter), cheese and tomato... nothing more. In addition on 7:30 the cook make pancakes and said that only at 8:00 we can get it... So kids were standing, watching and couldn't eat it. So silly. Summary is that place is nice, can be really nice. But considering above cons we will not come back there.

Highly recommend! Hotel is very nice and rooms were clean and modern. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing! I am a vegetarian and had more than enough options to eat. We had the best time there and would be more than happy to visit again! Thank you to everyone in Rethymno Residence Aquapark and Spa.

Good value for money. Way to the beach is through the Maravel Hotel, about 200 meters from the reception. The food was varied and tasty. But there are small little things, that can be improved relatively easily and cheaply, for me I would put another trash in the room, hang curtains around the bed lounges and repair the machines in the gym - half is out of order. And I really don't understand at all why the hotel has changed ( supposedly since this season 2021) the setting, that one of the hotel's four pools was "adult only". And they did not updated this fact on their website.

Came here on a last minute deal, but it seems Tui have lied about the hotel, there is NO other restaurants or A La Cartes, only one buffet restaurant and one tiny self service snack bar open for a few hours in the afternoon at the pool bar! Also only the one single bar open. The food is cooked really well and is tasty but unfortunately every day, every single meal time the food is let down by being cold! Such a shame really, also we tried going at various times but it's never hot. On the plus side the hotel and rooms are nice and all staff we encountered were lovely. We are still here on day 4, hoping for hot food one day!?

Decent hotel, nice and friendly staff. We had the all inclusive package - and the food was good and we had a lot of things to choose from for all meals. The main courses were different enough for a week so we did not get bored eating at the hotel. The rooms need an upgrade (in the building in the back where our room was located) - bathroom door is glass and does not have a lock, rooms are noisy, in our room we had a TV, but it did not face any sitting areas, towels need to be replaced as they look old (but they are clean). For an all inclusive package, the entertainment part was pretty much ignored especially in the evenings. There was only one party on Monday. We did not have the sushi bar or the american grill or other restaurants they have on their website. It's also weird that the all inclusive bar closes at 10:45, and the bar is still open after that. Other hotels in the area had live music at dinner for example. The sea is pretty close (across the street through the Maravel hotel yard), but the beach is not fine sand - but there is a fine sand beach about 1km away. Bus station is right in front of the hotel and the bus comes every 30 minutes and takes you to Rethymno Old Town in 20-30 min. You can buy tickets from the store in front of the bus station and the hotel reception has the bus schedule. All in all, we had a relaxing trip and we had everything we need - but the details could have made us want to go back to the same hotel.

The best hotel ever. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The staff of the whole hotel is extremely professional, very cordial and ready to cooperate. We were with a 2 year old child, and I would absolutely come back again. The food is delicious, very nicely prepared. The interior of the hotel is very nice, really every part is nicely decorated. THE BIGGEST RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS HOTEL YOU WILL DEFINITELY NOT MAKE A MISTAKE IF YOU STAY HERE !!!!

Would highly recommend Child friendly hotel, amazing water slides, good amenities and local bars within walking distance. The beach is just over the road. Fantastic evening entertainment
