So easy ! Auto vorab buchen (z.B. check24) , aus dem Flieger raus und an den Schalter gehen , paar Papiere ausfüllen , Kreditkarte vorlegen , zum Auto gehen und losfahren . Wie immer freundlich und problemlos ??

Sehr freundliche und schnelle Abwicklung durch Anna ? am Schalter im Flughafen von Heraklion. Mit einer normalen Kreditkarte mit ausreichend freiem Limit gibt es keine Probleme. Zum Auto geht man anschließend nur sein paar Meter. Kein Shuttlebus. Nach kurzer Aufnahme des Fahrzeugzustandes konnte es schon losgehen. Die Frontscheibe innen war wie bei jedem Mietwagen schmutzig ?

No surprises looking at other customers reviews to see we had an equally awful experience using Alamo. You could argue they deserve one star because one of the younger guys was at least kind and helpful, but I would've given zero or minus stars, if possible. For description and identification purposes given I do not have his name, in August 2021, the older, apparent manager guy's conduct, communication and demeanour was absolutely horrific from both a human and customer service perspective. This guy seem surprised we'd made a reservation, and I suspect he'd already given away the car we had booked. He filled out all the paperwork without showing me the car, and I was naive enough to sign without checking. Also a good learning for me: check which car they are giving you. The guy took delight in hiding behind "well, that's the category you paid for", but the Peugot 207 is probably the tiniest car in the world, and the 'equivalent' car we booked online had a whopping 30% more boot/trunk space. False advertising much, Alamo, economycarrentals.com? This website we used to book described the car we paid for as being able to transport 5 adults, 2 large suitcases and 1 carry-on. The boot/trunk was almost full with *one large* suitcase. The Alamo team then suggested folding the seats down: great idea having loose bags floating around next to our infant child, what could possibly go wrong with that?! And by the way: when you fold down the seats, the car can no longer transport 5 adults. So then you start to see where the dishonesty, and false advertising really comes into its own. Also: we had to install the infant seat ourselves (?!), in the ridiculous heat. Presumably for some sort of liability avoidance purposes. Wow. What a customer experience, and what a nice, stress-free, annoyance-free way to start our holiday. The aforementioned customer service champion was so rude, even becoming aggressive towards my wife when she pointed out calmly (and very fairly) that the car was far smaller than the description we based our purchase on, and he could not have been more unpleasant if he'd tried. Totally unacceptable. We ended up paying 50% more than the original quote, which I found to be just the cherry on top of a massive, sh*t sundae. So a quick summary: 1. Never use economycarrentals.com 2. Never use Alamo rental car company in Crete And if you're reading this, I really feel sorry for you: the reason life is so hard for you is because the way you behaved is not an optimal long-term strategy to success and happiness. The good news is it's never too late to change, so I hope you start making some changes in the way you treat customers. Alamo HQ, you might want to look into this one to improve your team in Crete, starting with the old guy. However, for sure we'll never be back, and we'll be actively advising people to avoid using Alamo, because this was such a total, complete, absolute customer experience disaster.

I don't know why everyone is complaining about their experience about Alamo. I rented the car online after we arrived at the airport in Chania. I called the Alamo because I couldn't them at the airport. Someone from Alamo came to the airport to pick us up and to bring us to our car. We filled out the formals, payed with the credit card and after our vacation the brought the car to the other airport in Heraklion next to our hotel without any trouble. The people in Chania who gave us the car were very nice people. They told us some places that we should go see and some good restaurant we could eat. Would definitely rent from them again.

Good service. Important to capture and record all damages very detailed before taking over the car and also when you return the car. Also important to check the gasoline before and after. Cars are used - but this is normal in Crete. Our car was „damaged / used” on each side. Also the tire pressure sensor was always indicating that the tire pressure is not correct - however we checked several time the tire pressures and all was good. Looks like a malfunction. Also inside was quite used and normal dirty. Don’t expect a clean and new car as the rental firms advertise and promise while you are renting - on their websites. Bring some time for the check-out and in.

Don't rent from them! We ordered a car with an infant seat for my 6 months old daughter. When we came to take the car we found out that they don't have any infant seats at all. Its just a way to get you to order a car without any options to cancel because it is too late when you get there. It's a scam! My wife had to wait over two hours to get tha car even though it was ordered for a specific hour with an infant, and for every extension of time we had to pay! Absolutely on professional. Stay away!
