B	Ben Addison on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went with Enterprise as they are one of the biggest car rental brands. When comparing with others in Heraklion online, for a medium sized car including insurance, their price was similar to others so I went with them. During the booking online, I selected every insurance add-on possible on the site. When I arrived to collect the car, they said I did not have the full insurance, and that I would need to pay an additional fee for full cover. This full cover was not offered on the site, so when I ticked everything for insurance, I thought I was fully covered, but turns out I didn’t have the main one. Without it, if I crashed it would have been costly, so I had to get to it. I therefore had no choice but to pay even more, around 30% more than the total, so like another £100. Was annoying and felt scammed. For this reason I wouldn’t use their insurance again. I’d use their car but get insurance elsewhere. Car was decent, no problems. Just thought I’d leave this review to let others know about this insurance scam they do.

However, during a busy period they were staffed well both in the airport and at the collection area. We had upgraded to a large rental car and were pleased with the size, comfortably took 5 people and luggage. A bit under powered but I wanted space not speed. Overall our experience did not reflect some of the reviews so perhaps they have learned from some feedback.

Inacceptable since they know that so many people have a reservation at that time but they don’t care. Service is slow and rude. We ended up going to the rental company next to Alamo, where the service was fast, helpful and friendly. Avoid Alamo at this airport at all costs!! The employee didn’t care at all that there was a long line, even the airport workers complained because she was so inefficient.
d	daniel stewart on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My whole experience was awful. The customer service is shocking and I think the staff need a lesson in smiling. I had booked an Audi A4 and was given a 1 litre Skoda Octavia so that was a disappointment and this car was also damaged on all panels. I had my outbound flight moved to a later flight as my original flight had been cancelled by easyJet so when I tried to arrange dropping the car back a little later in the day I was told that would not be possible even though I was willing to pay the extra for the time I would need the vehicle, this I thought was completely unreasonable as I was staying over an hours drive away from the airport. I therefore decided to cut my holiday short and fly home a day earlier. In my experience this was my worst car rental.

We had an issue with our rental and the person in service did nothing to help and was super rude. Never again! No wonder it was the emptiest car rental desk in the airport. I frequently use Enterprise for car rentals and never had a problem before. For this specific area, I will never choose Enterprise again.

However, we want to praise the excellent, efficient and courteous staff at Heraklion Airport. Christina and Anna were marvellous and incredibly helpful. The experience was so good we cannot wait to return to the lovely Island of Crete

I explained to the attendant if I could return the next day and was told I’m more than welcomed. Upon return I had the pleasure of finding another attendant who I had thought he was the manager when I arrived. I was hesitating to pick up the car because my friend had one. Finally upon deciding the young man took me through the steps as to what cars he had available. I am Greek but live in the USA so I didn’t have a clue about the brands of most cars. He was kind enough to find me the perfect car and at an unbelievable price. Automatic. I highly recommend this rental company. I understood that it’s Enterprise and Alamo is associated. This car refuses to burn gas. Very economical.
