Fine place. I just got annoyed by drunk people in the pool at night, people talking loud in the corridor and the stink sewer in the room sometimes.

Positive: Staff were very pleasant. Rooms simple and clean. Good breakfat. Negative: Nothing.

Very good hotel close to the centre of Matala with lovely owners

Cozy place, beautiful surroundings, friendly hosts. Old building but well maintained. Breakfast good. Better than at the most other places on the island. I stayed there for three nights.

Positive: Comfortable and nice hotel. We really appreciated breakfast served in the terrace. The position is very near to Matala beach and restaurants (we went on foot) but not too close to the crowded centre..

Negative: Our room was on the ground floor there were cats everywhere at this property who were clearly used to coming into the building. They came in and out of our room and twice hid under the bed. I could not leave my door open as cats would come in. There was no window for ventilation only a door. I asked for a room on the upper floor but none was available. Our room smelt of damp. Cats and damp are bad for my asthma and make me wheeze. This is a joke as the hotel description clearly says no pets and that the room is allergy free. I had booked and paid for in advance 2 nights but left after one because I found the standard of the room so unacceptable. This hotel is more like a hostel but charges hotel prices. I asked for a refund of the 2nd night but the management refused. I seriously think they can not see that people may not like cats coming into their rooms. The room Itself was cramped the shower didn’t work properly and the decor is dated. I left as soon as I could to stay in a clean welcoming well cared for hotel in the centre of Matala which was cheaper and much much nicer. I travel frequently nearly always book through booking.com and don’t like to give a bad review. I paid 126 euros for a very sub standard stay and I am still asking the hotel for a refund of my second un -used night. Hmmmmm.

Positive: The garden is very nice, very green and peaceful environment. The rooms are quite simple but still confortable. The breakfast was good and the staff very nice and welcoming.. Negative: The bathroom could be a bit modernised..

Positive: We had a fantastic stay here, would certainly recommend. Everything was great - clean and comfortable rooms, modern bathrooms, decent sized pool, short walk to the town, and a substantial continental style buffet breakfast. The hotel had a lovely homely feel with character and a relaxed atmosphere. The owners Michael and Cornelia were friendly, welcoming, helpful and even honoured our request for two adjacent rooms for our party. Thank you for your hospitality Hotel Neos! We hope to see you again soon.. Negative: Only that we didn't book to stay longer!.
