★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service is a bit on the slow side even by Greek standards, but the very tasty food makes it up. Instead of the menu offering the usual and sometimes dull tourist selection, we were offered the daily dishes, few of them which were probably freshly cooked. Definitely one of the best cheap tavernas so far on my journey in Crete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came here one night to have dinner. We were really happy with the whole experience. The food (lots of local Cretan dishes and Greek classics) was incredible. Great portions, and a fair price. The staff was super friendly as well.
In the end we ate here 5 days out of our 1 week stay in Frangokastello. The great chef had prepared new dishes almost every night, so there was a whole variety of dishes to choose from. We had great lentil soup, chicken/lamb from the pot, slow cooked pork ribs, cretan pizza and many more.
Can't recommend this taverna/restaurant enough and already look forward to come back here next year!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Try the pizza! Nice summer village feeling, give also something to the discrete cats around. I would recommend to have fresh mushrooms in the pizza rather than canned ones.
