★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο ναός του Απόλλωνα βρίσκεται στο μέσον περίπου της δυτικής πλευράς του νησιού, στην πεδιάδα όπου αναπτύχθηκε το ιερό του Απόλλωνα της Αρτέμιδος και της Λητούς. Χτισμένος σε φυσικό υπερυψωμένο πλάτωμα, 5μ. πάνω από την επιφάνεια της θάλασσας, είναι γνωστός από τις δηλιακές επιγραφές ως Απόλλωνος ναός και ναός των Δηλίων, ο μεγαλύτερος εκ των τριών ναών-οίκων του θεού, γι’ αυτό και στη βιβλιογραφία αναφέρεται ως Μέγας Ναός.
 The temple of Apollo is located in the middle of the western side of the island, in the plain where the sanctuary of Apollo of Artemis and Leto developed. Built on a natural elevated plateau, 5m. above the surface of the sea, is known from Delian inscriptions as the temple of Apollo and the temple of Delia, the largest of the three temples-houses of the god, which is why in the literature it is referred to as the Great Temple.
