Unfortunately it lies in ruins and it is also dangerous to approach. Reached the new monastery park the car in the wide spaces in front and take the clearly visible dirt road that descends to the left. You have already arrived in 5 minutes of walking.

Great place for impressive photos. One can still well guess the size of the old monastery complex. Attention! Do not trust the southern approach by car, grisly rocky path, we got stuck there and had to be towed. To get there, take the paved road to the new monastery.

Ruined monastery, in complete abandonment, we can walk freely inside without any problem.

You arrive at the new monastery (found closed) and park. To get to the old ruined monastery take the dirt path, a pity it is absolutely not taken care of. Continuing along the path we arrive at the Stones beach, Stupenda and absolutely practically empty. Definitely worth a visit

Nice ruïne of an old Greek monastery at the beginning of the walk down to Paradisi beach.

I loved this ruined monastery which you can walk to and visit. We walked for about 40 mins each way from Lourdata beach but Sissia beach is much nearer. If you take the walk from Lourdata it is a partly shaded gravel path, no one around and such an amazing surprise to suddenly come to the ruins. On the day we visited (in May) the only other people were a group of people working on the reconstruction and we walked into the ruins and watched them at work and they said hello. It was great to see this place was being restored. It is a really quite big and grand and it would be shame to continue let it go to ruin. Just outside the ruins was a covered seating area that was a bit worn out but such a welcome treat to sit down and have our lunch in the shade beside the restoration works (see photo). We didn’t have time otherwise we would have carried on the path down to Sissia beach.
