★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owners of this Apartment Hotel are nice and helpful. Also the pool area and the view from it is quite nice. Mattresses are firm and good to sleep on. But that's about it with the positive things. The interior of the apartment is old and used. The shower curtain and the shower head need to be replaced, curtain too short all water runs on the floor and shower head is broken, so water spreads in all directions. Also there are a million of mosquitos and bed bugs, so bring a mosquito plug, because no one in the hotel feels responsible for eliminating this. No cleaning service because of Covid, which doesn't make any sense. No WiFi available no where on the premises. Beach is quite far away (1.2 km downhill) and not nice. (Star Beach)
So it's best to take a car and explore this beautiful island and only sleep in the hotel. I paid less and had better accommodation in Crete or elsewhere on other occasions. Wouldn't chose this hotel again, because it wasn't a bargain after all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place with very friendly staff, servicing of the room was poor, appeared to be only one person cleaning. Pool area was clean, quite a climb to our apartment. All in all good value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a cute hotel. The rooms were clean, the pool was great, the food and drinks were delicious. The location is also good, you can quickly get to a shopping mile and if the walk to the beach is too far for you, you can ask for a taxi at the bar. Everyone was so nice and always helpful. We had so much fun with everyone there and we will be back !! You are great, thank you for this wonderful time !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love Koutolafari Crete . Stunning views from my studio. Owners very hospitable. Cleaners lovely all areas very clean bins,emptied every other day. Clean towels every other day too. Bar was noisy on some occasions. So wouldn't stay in studio near the bar poolside. Other than that enjoyed my stay and would return. ??
