There is one beer in tap. A half-liter pour is €4, which is reasonable. The menu has vegetarian options, and the service is friendly and helpful. Across the street is a payphone and a mailbox. Wifi is available for customers.

Avoid at any cost visiting this place. I always try to avoid leaving a negative review but in this case I had no other choice. I’ve never met such a rude owner . That was the worst customer service I ever had in my life. However I must say that goes only for the owner cause the personnel were friendly and helpful. I hope no tourists experience this type of hospitality as it is a total disgrace, it’s exactly the opposite of the well known warm hospitality of the Cretan people.

We stopped for beer and snack. Stuffed vine leaves were good, the beer cold, prices acceptable. Overall experience: just ok, but nothing special.

Very rude owner. We wanted to test after hike and we're suggested this tavern to pick up tickets for ferry from the guide of tour. We were harassed by the owner in front of the tavern and after looking through the menu, we decided to go elsewhere. After some hours we went for tickets - and wanted to order something to drink. We were throw out, because we picked different restaurant, and when I read the reviews - I'm glad we did. Avoid, after hike go to other places.

I wish on anyone the good fortune of getting to eat at this restaurant! The food is exceptional! Prokopis the proprietor is helpful, knowledgeable and kind . The rooms they rent are clean and new (modern ) with a great shower and modern air conditioner and fridge . The views from the balcony are fantastic . This town and this establishment is the perfect place to really unwind and appreciate all the amazing things Greece has to offer .

Friendly taverna with delicious food. Try the stuffed courgette flowers for a local treat or a refreshing watermelon juice after your walk. We also stayed at the Samaria Pension (same owners). The room is basic but very clean, has good airco and a cute little balcony just off the main street. The best part however is the warm and welcoming family who run the place!

Just adequate. A bit dry, a bit chewy, the gyros is at least good portion!

We hiked the Samarian Gorge and this was our meeting point at the end of the hike. After some time on the beach, we made our way here for a bit of lunch and coffee before catching the boat. The menu is expansive but they seemed to be out of a few things to include Greek coffee, which seemed odd. I had the pork gyro plate and my wife had the saganaki and mytheria(spelling) cheeses. The cheeses are great and local to the area. The servers are friendly and so is the host/owner. The restrooms are decent and large enough to change in, if you just came from the beach. Take advantage of the free wifi while you're waiting for your drinks or meals. Be sure to bring cash because it may be cash only or so it seemed.
