★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food ( we had the zucchini flowers, the baked cheese, eggplant dip and the oven roasted veg ??) little expensive but understandable because of the location.
Cute spot to wait for the ferry,
They grow their own veg and herbs our back and it looked more family run and authentic than some of the tourist traps in town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were not expecting food to be great as it is kind of tourist area but honestly, best fish we have had so far in Crete! Very reasonable price! Love it and they serve good beer too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The BEST greek salad and moussaka I've EVER had. This was one of the first resturants I passed by after completing the Samaria Gorge. You cannot miss this place. The red olives in the greek salad were also the best olives I'd ever had. This resturant only took cash so make sure you carry some in advance because there are no ATM's in this village.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Atmospheric place that is just right after a hike through the gorge. Good fresh juice. Fresh salad and greek yogurt not to be missed.
The downside was the staff. They were completely ignoring us sitting in their phones all the time. I had to go over to them to order, as well as pay for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Busy staff. Free WiFi that is not working. I have ordered "Fresh small fish" which was a big disappointment. One fish tasted like seeweeds, another like nothing at all! French fries were OK. Grilled meat looked real good. Tour guides make a meeting point there, and that is why they make money with tourist that have to come there

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Home cooked fresh authentic Greek food, with local ingredients. Every dish we had was delicious, the stewed vegatables were particularly good, and the dolmades ?. Their own homemade bread with honey was some of the nicest bread I've ever had. If you are looking for excellent homemade food (and not just for wifi or fast food, like some other reviews seem to think is more important) then I would highly recommend this place.
