The Royal Senses Resort & Spa Crete, Curio Collection by Hilton - 58 km Herakliou Panormos

This hotel is beautiful. The location is isolated though so you need a car. The service is top tier. I needed a charger and after diligently looking for one, they assisted me in getting one. The property is island style. I have the king grand deluxe room. It’s similar to a studio, but very nice. The details are amazing. The pool is not private as if people are walking pass they can see you. I was swimming naked and a man saw me. So if you’re ok with people seeing you then you’re good. I do not mind. Although I swim naked and this island seem very traditional; not like Mykonos or Athens. Still welcoming though. Everything is spread on this property; so you can ask the bellhop to bring you down or you can walk. The property isn’t that big, it’s just hills. Spectacular views depending on your room. I woke up looking into the abyss of the ocean. At night, I heard the waves crash even though I was far away. To get from the airport you can take a taxi (91 euros/ 50 min drive) or the bus which it is like 15 euros/1.5 hour ride) Since this property is isolated and far from everything, it’s best to rent a car. The taxis will add up. You can bus but when it gets late taxi is your only option. The pool isn’t heated for colder nights, but they do have a heated pool if you’re wanting to swim. They need a shuttle service that goes into the city and I hope they do it because then this property would be five stars Beautiful property, but not so good location. Amenities are amazing and service is top tier to sum it up.

We spent a week here - and truly can't wait to return. We arrived at night and still had a really warm welcome. Our room didn't exactly have the best 'Sea View' - yet it was handled so professionally by Eugenia and her team. We were quickly moved as there was availability to do so. The quality of the rooms and style is fabulous. There is so much room around the Pools to find space to relax and the team from the pool bar & restaurants are really speedy and friendly. Location is great if you have a car. We drove all over and found it to be a brilliant base. The FOOD ..... Wow. We did not have one bad meal. Tried every restaurant and all were able to cater to my vegan / vegetarian diet. Nothing was ever rushed or unfriendly, it was so refreshing to meet a hotel team all so happy in their roles. Gym looked nice, sophisticated cocktail menu, golf buggy to your room - cable car down to the pools - What a brilliant place. Feels exclusive for couples yet safe and family friendly. We'll be back.

What a lovely brand new resort, in a wonderful location, on a beautiful Island (Crete). The drive from Heraklion Airport took about 40 mins. Our driver Andreas was quite jovial and entertaining. The views of the scenic mountains, and the clear blue Mediterranean water were quite impressive. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, professional and quite welcoming. The overall service is second to none, with excellent facilities, good food, and the best breakfast that we have ever been served. Our special thanks go to the management and staff at The Royal Senses Resort & Spa We can’t wait to visit again

A clean hotel, and they automatically offer us an upgrade to our room as a Hilton diamond member which was appreciated.The majority of the staff members are very friendly. However, there was an incident which a female employee in a life guard white shirt working at the pool tired to gave us a hard time when we asked for 4 towels for 2 people. I didn't realize there was a limit to how many towels a guest can use at the pool and I did see a lot of couples with 4 towels on their hands so I don't understand what the problem is, don't think this service and attitude is even worth a 3 star.

My husband, daughter and I had the most wonderful stay in Aug/Sep. The food was great. There were lots of pools and our room was lovely. I particularly loved the kids club. Eva, Stella and another lady (sorry I've forgotten her name) took wonderful care of my daughter. It was a very relaxing holiday :)

The best hotel I’ve ever been! It’s beautiful, modern and super clean. The staff of the hotel, especially the waitresses and waiters, are the most friendly I’ve ever experienced. Everyone here wants you to feel welcomed and comfortable. There’s not one bad thing I could say about this beautiful place. Thank you so much for this lovely vacation!

Great hotel, felt like pulling up to a James Bond movie set. Very welcomed at check in. Pro: - room was large and clean - pools were nice - breakfast buffet was great Cons: - issues with billing that the hotel pretty much told me that can’t help with and had to call Hilton honors about it. Hilton was also surprised the hotel couldn’t fix it and opened a case for us. Additionally, no assistance with early or late check out which is common for diamond members. - service- very slow. We ordered pool drinks and took almost an hour to get them. It was 630 and not many people left laying out by the pool, we were surprised it took so long. We had similar experiences at the dinner buffet or slow service for drinks. - though our room was always clean, the hallways were full or used room service trays and trash (more than 24 hours). Finally, the beach is visible but you need to drive or take a shuttle to get there. Not a deal killer unless you want better beach access.

We had an amazing one-week stay! This really is a 5 star hotel! The hotel itself is beautiful, with amazing design and even a cool lift. The people truly go out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as possible. From the check-in experience, to the people in the restaurants to the people that clean the rooms daily, they all put in the extra effort, and we felt that. The food was great, including great service. The swimming pools were nice, had a trendy design and offered great seating. We particularly enjoyed our room with private pool.
