★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is amazing place in Rethymnon, especially if you want to watch the sunset and enjoy fresh food, traditional cuisine and good wine. Big portions and courteous personnel . The restaurant is just in the base of the Venetian fortress making the experience even more authentic and enjoyable!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic location and amazing food. Professional and passionate staff. Appears to be great in mussels ( almost everyone (locals mainly!) ordered something with mussels; we'll try next time). We got this amazing off-menu catch of the day scorpion fish and perfect matching wine, making it a beautiful night out under the stars!!
One year later.....
Returning to this restaurant every visit to Creta because it's simply the best and most honest food. Whether you are a fish crazed connaisseur or just want to enjoy the amazing terrace and spectacular sunset with a spaghetti and mussels, this is your place! Make a reservation because it's busy with locals and tourists.

Very nice place. We could see beautiful sunset here. Neat dining environment. Yummy food. Vegetarian options available is a plus. Staffs are sweet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The "Thea Thalasso Rethymno" a very special restaurant. We have already been here twice in short time. Second time with friends for dinner. We were allowed to linger here for four hours with fine Greek food and a special wine recommendation from the Chief, a delicious rose wine (Merlot). The service employees were very eager to help/serve us and the Chief had a good recommendation for our different food wishes. Thank you very much for everything ... it was really a big pleasure for us to be your guest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The exact right place to watch the sunset....or have a great night with a beautiful seaview. Apart from that the stuff is very friendly & accommodating! All meals are from best quality and very delicious. During my vacation I went here twice...it is totally worth it.
In addition, they have a well sorted drinks menue....I can as well recommend them! (It's not a typical child place, but everyone is sooooo friendly with kids)
Come here and enjoy the best side of Greece ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing service and very good food with complementary dessert + raki :) I had the shrimp risotto which was good, but the sea bass was amazing. Very generous portions and a beautiful view of the sunset. As someone who has travelled around Greece and tried a lot of restaurants, this was one of my favorites.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spectacular food and amazing view, we came here a little before the sunset, the service was very friendly, attention to small details like removing a lamp from my view of the horizon made me very happy me. The food is a different story, I had a grilled sea bass and I couldn’t be happier (I come from a Mediterranean seaside city), portions are a little large so be prepared to eat. I really recommend this place
