R	R Sz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All went well both by picking up the car and also by returning it. Had also no difficulties with the documents. The stuff, especially the students on summer job were very nice. Good and correct service.
Ю	Юрий Подвальный on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ive got an extremely negative experience of using this car rent. I was renting the car for 7+ days, it was a budget Suzuki Alto 15 euro per day. When picking up the car ive left 500 euro as a deposit. Actually i was robbed by the staff. When returning the car i had an issue with a small church candle melted under the front glass. And ive removed the traces of it as far as i could - but some traces left of course and some drops of wax were in a ventilation ports. ok, i agreed that the staff had to do some additional work to clean it properly. But they estimated it as 400 euro damage!!! only 100 euro has been returned to me from my 500 euro deposit. in a position of having departure in 30 minutes i had to opportunity to argue/writing complaints etc.. The situation got worse when initially they estimated it as 80 euro and then suddenly changed it to 400. The small candle costs me more than all the rental costs plus accommodation costs for my whole trip of 4 person together?

S	Seth B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid this Hertz location at all costs. Usually a good company but the employees I dealt with at this location were rude and dishonest. I had a car booked for 2pm but after waiting in a queue for an hour I was told they had run out of cars and I would have to wait until 5pm to pick up my car. There wasn't an apology or effort to rectify the problem so I simply had to wait. At 5pm I was told by a different employee that they actually had no idea when more cars would arrive. Just before 6pm I was told the only car that had been returned was two levels above the one had booked and I would have to pay for an upgrade if I wanted to be have a car at that time. Arguing proved futile, they simply didn't care and hsd no interest in being helpful. The employee tried to make it sound like they were doing me a favor since the upgrade was to a diesel car which they said was €0.50/L cheaper than petrol (found out later this was another lie as it was only about 0.20/L cheaper). After paying the extra cost, the rest of the rental experience was fine. Dropping the car off in Heraklion was easy and painless but didn't make up for missing the whole first day of my holiday sitting in the airport being lied to by rude, incompetent individuals.

After about one hour waiting time, we got the car, but it turned out to be a manual one that we could not drive. There was not any similar automatic one left. Lucky enough, after another 45 minutes, they managed to get an automatic car to the airport, but our Benz was "upgraded" to Toyota. Anyway, at least the staff was relatively polite and patient, and we could drive a car and start our journey.
A	Alexandros Kapridakis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went with my car at Hertz Chania to repair my car's air condition, as it didn't function properly. After 4 hours, they said to me that it was ready to go. It worked properly only for one hour, then it stopped cooling the air again.

V	Viviane XDXP on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT BOOK YOUR CAR HERE!!! We got into a small accident with the car and the police report clearly stated that it was the other persons fault. Hertz told us that in order to get a replacement car we have to pay for the damages first but we will get reimbursed once they get the money from the person responsible. When we asked about it again later they told us that the responsible person doesn't have insurance and doesn't want to pay so we will not get our money back. They even were so rude to say we should be happy they didn't charge us more!! We payed almost 500Euro for damages that we were not liable for!! And of course they know we are not Greek so we can't do anything about it. What an unprofessional company. Absolutely do not recommend it!
